About Me

I qualified from Liverpool University in 1992 and started by undertaking a year of postgraduate Vocational Training in General Dental Practice when it was optional. I have worked in general dental practices in the North West with over 30 years experience in general dentistry.
To increase my dental, medical and surgical knowledge in 1998 I worked a 9 month period as a resident senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Doncaster Royal Infirmary dealing with In patient care and oral-facial trauma and conditions and also obtained the Canadian National Dental Licence qualification by theoretical and clinical exams.
Dentistry for myself has been a calling and a passion leading me to travel widely in the UK and abroad to seek out the latest knowledge and techniques. I have undertaken the
prestigious 2 year post graduate Diploma course in Restorative Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons which consisted of monthly lectures and hands-on courses on various aspects of restorative dentistry including treatment planning, periodontics, endodontics, removable and fixed prosthodontics.
I have been involved in implant dentistry since 2001 and have restored and placed many dental implants over this time period. My philosophy is centred around long term prevention and evidence based dentistry with a focus on minimally invasive techniques treating my patients in the same way I would treat my loved ones. I provide general dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry including tooth whitening, crowns, veneers, bridges, removable dentures, invisalign, intravenous sedation.
Outside of dentistry my interests include hill walking, travel, cooking, yoga, meditation and time with my cat Mylo.
